Centre Avenue School K-Kids teamed up with St. Baldrick’s to raise money for childhood cancer research.
The club’s motto was “Every Little Bit Counts” and they asked fellow students to bring in donations in the amount of 25 cents or more. Club members created advertisements and flyers to send home to families. They also made announcements to promote the fundraiser.
During each meeting, club members calculated totals and create a decoration to represent the donations received from each student/family. In all, the club raised more than $380.
Several students also volunteered to shave their heads in honor of K-Kids at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre.
